FCS has placed many visa candidates. Keep in mind that the opportunities available for visa candidates are typically rural or underserved areas.

This varies from client to client. Most hospitals and mental health clinics will pay for reasonable expenses associated with an interview, but this is not always the case. Your FCS account executive will find out this information and will notify you prior to the interview.

    Interview Tips

We at FCS are here to make your interviewing process flow smoothly. Our support team is
always available to answer your questions.
With over 25 years experience, FCS has identified some essential ingredients for a successful interview:

Preparing for the Interview (do your homework)

    • Learn about the area in advance
    • Understand the interview agenda
    • What is expected clinically/professionally
    • Understand the typical work day
    • Know with whom you will speak – names and titles
    • Have organized pre-written questions

    During the Interview

    • Be punctual
    • Dress professionally
    • Start with a firm handshake
    • Maintain eye contact
    • Listen when others are speaking
    • Be prepared to talk about personal issues
    • Speak about your skills relating to the job
    • Take your spouse – but not to the interview
    • When speaking to the interviewer, use his/her name
    • Take notes

    Wrap Up The Interview

    • Be enthusiastic – if you want the job – show it
    • Accentuate the positive
    • Speak positively about the practice and community
    • Ask what comes next – another visit – sample contract – offer
    • Leave understanding the opportunity

    After the Interview

    • Send a thank you note

Finally, don’t talk money too early. If you like the job, and they like you, compensation issues are rarely a deciding factor.

Although simplistic, these basics work. Following these guidelines will help win you the offer!

    Licensure Process

FCS is not equipped to assist in the licensure process but can direct to you people that can help. Each state will have a licensure board resource to guide you through the process. If you need help in this process, please let us know and we’ll be glad to connect you.
